Dear residents,
We are aware that some of the messages that we send out through Bee in the loop are being shared in local Facebook groups by group admins. We are always extremely grateful for this and will always support and encourage this to continue. However, we would also like to encourage anyone who isn’t personally signed up to Bee in the Loop (or knows someone who isn’t) to register.
There are two main reasons for this:
You may miss important updates if you rely just on Facebook. We try to only send messages that are relevant to you or the specific area you live. We do this to avoid overloading residents with messages that are not relevant to you resulting in you unsubscribing. for example if something happens on Ladbrooke Road the people who live on Hazelhurst Road don’t necessarily need to know about it. Due to this not all of the messages we send are received by the Facebook group admins, because they don’t live in that specific area or on that specific street.
By signing up yourself you will always get the information that’s relevant to you.
You can respond directly to us when needed. Sometimes we ask residents to check their CCTV to help with investigations or to help identify further offences. If you receive this email personally then you have the facility to send us a direct message back stating you have footage and we can then send you a secure link to upload your CCTV footage. When people only see the message on Facebook, they cannot reply to us directly. This sometimes leads to CCTV being shared through Whats app groups or sent directly to Facebook group admins. Although well-intentioned, this can cause us some issues evidentially as we then have to identify where all the footage has come from and then go back to the ‘owner’ of the CCTV to gather it from them (as this is classed as their evidence) and may be needed for court proceedings ect.
If you are reading this on a Facebook group but are not signed up to Bee in the Loop personally then we would encourage you to sign up to make sure you are not missing anything. You can do this by either:
We would like to thank the residents who have contacted us over the last few days in relation to the recent attempt burglary on St Albans Ave and we will hopefully be able to share some updates with you shortly.
Regards
